How do I book a Sariska safari?
Fill in the booking form on this site with your date, slot and number of persons. We check permit availability, confirm the final amount with you on phone or WhatsApp, and then raise the permit. No payment is taken on this website.
What ID do I need to carry?
Every person on the permit must carry the original government photo ID whose number was used at the time of booking. Foreign nationals must carry their passport. Entry can be refused without the original document.
How long does a safari last?
Around three hours, in either the morning or the evening slot. Exact reporting and return times change with the season - the timings table on the safari booking page lists the current slots.
Will I definitely see a tiger?
No. Sariska is a wild forest, not an enclosure, and no operator can guarantee a sighting. Our drivers and naturalists know the terrain well and will give you the best chance we can.
What is the difference between a sharing and a full gypsy?
In a sharing gypsy you book individual seats and travel with other guests. In a full gypsy the whole vehicle is reserved for your group of up to six people, which gives you more flexibility on seating and photography.
Are children allowed?
Yes. Children are welcome on all safaris. Permit rules and fees for children are set by the Forest Department - tell us the ages when you enquire and we will confirm the exact amount.
Do you arrange hotels as well?
Yes. We can arrange stays in and around Sariska and Alwar across a range of budgets, and put together a package that combines the stay with your safaris.
Are you part of the Forest Department?
No. Sariska Wild Ventures is an independent private tour operator. Permits are issued only by the Rajasthan Forest Department; we handle the application, vehicle and guide for you.
