How booking works

Four steps, no online payment

  1. Send your details. Date, slot, number of people and nationality. Foreign nationals pay a different permit rate, so tell us upfront.
  2. We check availability. Permits are limited per slot and released first-come, first-served by the Forest Department.
  3. We confirm the exact amount. You will see the permit component and our service charge separately before you pay anything.
  4. Carry your original ID. The same government photo ID used on the permit must be carried on the day. Foreign nationals need their passport.

What to carry

  • Original government photo ID for every person on the permit
  • Warm layers for morning drives between November and February
  • Hat, sunglasses and water for afternoon drives in summer
  • Camera with a zoom lens if you have one; binoculars help
  • Muted clothing — greens, browns and greys rather than bright colours

Plastic, alcohol, loud music, drones and getting out of the vehicle are not permitted inside the reserve.

Bara Liwari Safari ₹1,800 per person ₹1,391.67 permit + ₹408.33 service ₹3,500 per person ₹2,300 permit + ₹1,200 service Buffer-zone safari, shared vehicle.

Permit fees are fixed by the Rajasthan Forest Department and are collected on your behalf; the service component covers the vehicle, driver, guide and our handling. Where a breakup is not shown above, we have not published one rather than estimate it — ask us and we will confirm the exact split for your date.

Season-wise safari timings

Each safari runs for about three hours. Reporting time at the gate is roughly 30 minutes before the slot starts.

Safari zones

Zone 1 - Sariska Gate

The main entry gate near Thanagazi, and the most commonly booked zone for tiger-search safaris.

Zone 2

Adjoining forest tract reached from the Sariska gate, good for sambar, nilgai and birdlife.

Zone 4 - Tehla

The Tehla gate on the southern side of the reserve, quieter and popular with photographers.

FAQ

Before you book

How do I book a Sariska safari?
Fill in the booking form on this site with your date, slot and number of persons. We check permit availability, confirm the final amount with you on phone or WhatsApp, and then raise the permit. No payment is taken on this website.
What ID do I need to carry?
Every person on the permit must carry the original government photo ID whose number was used at the time of booking. Foreign nationals must carry their passport. Entry can be refused without the original document.
How long does a safari last?
Around three hours, in either the morning or the evening slot. Exact reporting and return times change with the season - the timings table on the safari booking page lists the current slots.
Will I definitely see a tiger?
No. Sariska is a wild forest, not an enclosure, and no operator can guarantee a sighting. Our drivers and naturalists know the terrain well and will give you the best chance we can.
What is the difference between a sharing and a full gypsy?
In a sharing gypsy you book individual seats and travel with other guests. In a full gypsy the whole vehicle is reserved for your group of up to six people, which gives you more flexibility on seating and photography.
Are children allowed?
Yes. Children are welcome on all safaris. Permit rules and fees for children are set by the Forest Department - tell us the ages when you enquire and we will confirm the exact amount.
Do you arrange hotels as well?
Yes. We can arrange stays in and around Sariska and Alwar across a range of budgets, and put together a package that combines the stay with your safaris.
Are you part of the Forest Department?
No. Sariska Wild Ventures is an independent private tour operator. Permits are issued only by the Rajasthan Forest Department; we handle the application, vehicle and guide for you.
