A shared gypsy safari through the Bara Liwari buffer tract - open scrub, water points and good chances of sambar, nilgai, jackal and a long list of birds.

Bara Liwari lies in the buffer belt of Sariska Tiger Reserve. It is an easy, comfortable drive that suits families, first-time visitors and anyone with only half a day in Alwar.

Our drivers and naturalists know the water points and regular movement lines through this tract. Sightings can include sambar, nilgai, chital, wild boar, jackal, hyena and, with luck, a leopard. Bird activity is excellent through the winter months.

The safari runs for roughly three hours. Permits are issued by the Forest Department and are subject to availability on the day.

Rates for this safari

Permit fees are fixed by the Rajasthan Forest Department and are collected on your behalf; the service component covers the vehicle, driver, guide and our handling. Where a breakup is not shown above, we have not published one rather than estimate it — ask us and we will confirm the exact split for your date.
